Driver, 90, spared jail for killing women by pressing accelerator instead of brake
 

The family of a woman killed by a 90-year-old motorist say they have not had justice after he was spared jail.
Elderly driver Philip Bull mistakenly pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake, crushing Deborah Clifton, 49, and her partner Clare Haslam, 44 in the collision outside Withington Community Hospital.
The pair were crushed by an automatic transmission Ford Focus driven by the retired textiles merchant and died from catastrophic injuries.
