Draconid meteor showers: Where to see them on Teesside this weekend
 

Teesside could be treated to another marvellous meteoric shower this weekend.
The Draconids meteor shower is passing by and should be visible over our skies from Friday, October 7, until Saturday.
But unlike most meteor showers, you don't have to get up at stupid o'clock to get a chance to see them, because the Draconids are visible after dusk rather than before dawn.
The showers are a result of the earth passing through the tail of debris left behind by comet Giacobini-Zinner.
