Draconid meteor shower over Derbyshire skies will light up the nightscape

An astronomical display will be lighting up the skies tonight as a meteor shower of shooting stars flies across the nightscape.
If an evening under the skies is your idea of a romantic night then you're certainly in luck – the Draconid meteor shower is on its way.
The natural showcase will peak tonight as you settle in with a glass of wine and blankets just before night fall, between 7pm and 9pm. The Draconid meteor shower is otherwise known as the Giacobinids. It is one of two meteor showers to grace our skies every year in October.
