Durand Trust stripped of public funding after probe

A SOUTH London academy chain had its funding axed yesterday due to concerns over the use of public money and governance.
Following an investigation into the murky and complex financial relations the Durand Academy Trust (DAT) holds with the Durand Education Trust (DET) and the companies to which it outsourced the school’s leisure services, the Education Funding Agency (EFA) decided to end its funding agreement with the academy.
