Ditching diesel WILL cost drivers hundreds more a year, claims research
 

Diesel cars have been condemned in recent weeks due to revelations about the emissions they produce. 
While these cars typically produce less CO2 emissions, they do emit more nitrogen oxides on average than a petrol car. 
Nitrogen oxides are harmful to humans and can cause heart attacks, image lungs and lead to strokes. 
Therefore many diesel motorists are feeling the pressure to switch to a lower emissions car or equivalent vehicle.
