Disabled man 'trapped' in Newcastle flats after broken lifts leave him trapped on sixth floor



A disabled man who lives in high-rise block claims he has been left a prisoner in his own home after the lift to his sixth floor home broke.
Phillip Stafford lives on the sixth floor of Bewick Court, which overlooks John Dobson Street in Newcastle city centre.
But the lift inside the 21-storey building, which Mr Stafford relies upon to get him in and out of his house, has broken, leaving him stranded inside his flat.
