Diane James quits as Ukip leader after just 18 days - could Nigel Farage return?
 

UKIP is in crisis after the party's new leader quit just 18 days after succeeding Nigel Farage.
Surrey businesswoman Diane James, voted in as UKIP's new leader at their autumn conference last month, said she did not have the support of party colleagues to carry on.
Sources said Ms James had been 'shaken' by an alleged incident in London last month when she was abused and spat at while travelling to a UKIP event in Wales.
As UKIP chiefs held crisis talks, the party was still unable to confirm who was actually in charge.
