Developers wanted to transform Hull's run-down Albion Square as councillors back revival plan



Developers are set to be offered the chance to transform a run-down part of the city centre.
The Albion Square area includes the recently-closed BHS store, the empty former Co-op store next door and the derelict Edwin Davis building in Bond Street.
Together with the adjacent council-owned car parking Albion Street, the site has now been officially earmarked for potential new retail, leisure and housing.
A new city centre ice rink has already been identified as one possible element of the scheme.
