Detailed plans submitted for Lime Street Station revamp
 

Plans for a major remodelling of Lime Street railway station platforms have been submitted to Liverpool council.
The proposals – which will see the city’s main station shut while work is completed – will allow more frequent and longer trains to use the station.
Network Rail, which operates Lime Street, said the station needs to change as passenger numbers are expected to double by 2043.
