Derek Hatton shares very pleasant, very welcoming words with Jeremy Corbyn at Labour conference

Derek Hatton said he exchanged a few “very pleasant, very welcoming” words with Jeremy Corbyn at the Labour Party Conference.
Mr Hatton was a figure of national interest in the 1980s by setting an illegal budget for Liverpool and was denounced at the 1985 conference by then leader Neil Kinnock for sending redundancy notices by taxi to council workers.
The former Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council was expelled from the Labour party in 1986 because of his alleged membership of the hard left Militant Trotskyist group.
