Derbyshire vet provides free care for pets with homeless owners
 

A Derbyshire vet who set up a clinic to provide free veterinary care for pets with homeless owners looks set to receive an award.
Ruby Shorrock, originally from Quarndon, studied to become a vet in Glasgow and works at the city's Pets'n'Vets practice.
As a student she says she became aware of the challenges faced by homeless pet owners and, while researching, discovered no homeless hostels in Glasgow would take people with dogs.
