Derbyshire council paid out more than £75k compensation to owners of vehicles damaged by potholes
 

Derbyshire County Council paid out more than £75,000 compensation to owners of vehicles damaged by potholes last year.
The county council ranked second in the country for the number of successful claims against it with 320, with Lincolnshire paying out the most.
Figures released by the RAC Foundation showed a total of 624 claims made against the council in the year 2015/16, the ninth highest number in the country. This was up from 595 the previous year, yet the total compensation, £75,517, was down on the £80,447 paid out the previous year.
