Derby woman allegedly assaulted as she slept

Police are appealing for information following reports that a woman was assaulted by an intruder who entered her Derby home while she was asleep.
Officers were called to an address on Dewchurch Drive on Thursday, September 29 at 8pm, followiing reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Police said a man allegedly entered the house via an unlocked door. He went upstairs where the female home owner was asleep. The man pulled her hair and then assaulted her leaving her with injuries to her arm and face.
