Derby man caught drink-driving at crime scene a day after failing his driving test

A Derby 37-year-old was caught drink-driving by police guarding a city crime scene - a day after he failed his driving test.
Karl Robinson was arrested after he drove with no headlights and swerved across the road at 4.30am as he passed a cordoned-off area in Manchester Street, Derby, where there had been a serious assault.
Robinson, 37, of Highfield Road, Littleover, told Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court that he had failed his driving test the day before and had been "struggling in his life" following the breakdown of his marriage.
