Derby couple Gayle and Neil Megill CLEARED after child cruelty trial
 

A Derby woman accused of cruelty against two children has been cleared of all charges – while her husband, accused of standing by and watching, has also been cleared.
A jury returned not guilty verdicts in relation to Gayle Megill, who faced eight counts of cruelty against two children, and her husband Neil Megill, who faced one count of failing to protect two children.
The jury were sent out on Thursday afternoon and returned shortly before 1pm on Friday to clear the pair.
