Derby city councillor Bill Wright leaves UKIP to join Labour
 

A Derby councillor has left UKIP and to join the city's Labour group.
Councillor Bill Wright said he believed he could achieve more by joining the Labour Party. The move sees Labour increase its majority at Derby City Council to two seats.
Mr Wright was voted into his Derwent seat in 2014 as a UKIP representative. He said the move to Labour was "not about him" but what was best for people in the Derwent ward.
