Demolition of Albert Marson Court to start soon



THE deadline for submissions to bid for the contract to demolish the block of flats and shops in Scunthorpe known as Albert Marson Court is today (Monday, October 17).
Ongo Homes is to demolish the 40-year-old block due to structural defects. It is expected the demolition will start next month.
The site will then be used to build 27 three and four-bedroom houses at a cost of £3.5 million.
Steve Glentworth, owner of Glenny's Bar in Scunthorpe near Albert Marson Court, has mixed feelings about the development.
