Delivery firm throw party day after funeral of driver fined for taking day off for hospital appointment
 

Delivery firm DPD threw an executive party headlined by comedian Rob Brydon just one day after the funeral of a driver who was fined for attending a hospital appointment.
Almost 1000 senior managers were invited to the event, which included free food, drink and entertainment, in an upmarket hotel earlier this month.
But they have been called callous for hosting the celebration less than 24 hours after the funeral of diabetic driver Don Lane.
Don, 53, died earlier this year, months after he was fined £150 by managers for taking time off for a hospital appointment.
