Delays on M40 as man struck by lorry



The M40 has reopened after an elderly man was struck by a lorry.
Both north and southbound carriageways were shut while an air ambulance attended the scene - with long delays in each direction.
The incident took place at around 12.50pm, and the motorway was closed between J12 for Gaydon and J11 for Banbury.
Warwickshire Police and paramedics attended the scene before the man, who has serious injuries, was transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire by Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
