Delays in Cottingham after railway crossing gets 'stuck' in the down position



Drivers and train passengers are facing delays in East Yorkshire after a railway crossing barrier got stuck in the down position.
The Thwaite Street railway crossing in Cottingham got stuck in the down position this evening, forcing buses to take diversions and 45 minute delays on the trains.
Busses are currently diverting via New Village Road.
It is understood engineers have been called and are on their way.
In a Tweet, EYMS said: "Thwaite St crossing is stuck down, buses having to divert via New Village Road until rail engineers arrive, causing delays."
