Delays in Bootle as palm oil spill leaves roads closed
 

Motorists face severe delays this morning as partial road closures remain in place after a palm oil spillage across the Millers Bridge junction in Bootle.
The road was closed from around 3.30pm yesterday.
Sefton Council treated the road at 4pm and then reopened both northbound lanes going out of Liverpool on the A565 Derby Road.
But a Merseyside Police spokesperson said that partial closures will remain in place.
No traffic is allowed to travel through the junction along A5058 Millers Bridge between the Derby Road junction and the A5036 Regent Road Junction and no traffic can turn left or... read more
