Deer killed after being shot in the head in South Cumbria



The deer is believed to have been killed some time between Tuesday October 11 and Thursday October 13 at Milnthorpe.
Police said the animal had been shot in the head and was found dead.
Detectives are looking for any witnesses who may have seen the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The killing comes as a joint initiative was announced to warn motorists about the heightened risk of collisions involving deer at this time of year.
