Deepcut: Fresh inquest decision gives hope for North East family of Geoff Gray
 

A judge has given the go-ahead for a fresh inquest into the death of a young soldier at Deepcut barracks 21 years ago.
Pvt Sean Benton was the first of four recruits to die at the notorious Surrey base between 1995 and 2002.
They included Pvt Geoff Gray from Seaham, County Durham and the decision today could see an application for a fresh inquest to be held into his death too.
Pvt Benton, from Hastings, East Sussex, was found with five bullet wounds to his chest in June 1995 while undergoing training at the base.
