Debate on travellers hears of 'wave of fear' in British countryside



Travellers and gypsies are causing a "wave of fear" in rural Britain, ministers have been told.
Numerous MPs recounted stories of problems within their constituencies which they said had been caused by travellers and gypsies as they debated the Government's policies relating to the groups.
Tory MP Philip Hollobone (Kettering) said: "This wave of fear and intimidation in our countryside and in communities bordering on the countryside is outrageous in 21st Century Britain.
