De Ferrers 'desperate' for Burton and South Derbyshire UTC

Bosses at The de Ferrers Trust have had a look around the empty £8.6 million building which was purpose-built for the failed Burton and South Derbyshire UTC.
A leadership team visited the building in Waterloo Street, Burton, which is currently vacant after the Department for Education scrapped the opening of the university technical college after 18 months of delays.
The building, which is fully equipped for use, is now available to any appropriate educational body which would like to take it on.
Steve Allen, of The de Ferrers Trust, has confirmed it is an interested party.
