A teenager induced the birth of her child two weeks early so that her dying mother could meet her grandchild.
Georgia Wilkins said her decision to have her child two weeks early was a ‘parting gift’ to her mother Mandy who died from Alzheimer’s disease, aged just 43.
Georgia said Mandy, who was diagnosed six years ago, had told her previously that she ‘coudln’t wait to be a nan’.
But the family received the devastating news in early September that Mandy would most likely die before the 18-year-old gave birth.
