Darren Clarke admits Ryder Cup selection regret which cost Europe dearly

Europe captain Darren Clarke has let slip a selection mistake he made which could have been responsible for their Ryder Cup defeat.
Davis Love III and team USA clinched the Ryder Cup 17-11 at Hazeltine on Sunday, earning a first American victory since 2008.
The ultimate scoreline puts this Europe team, and Clarke’s captaincy, down as the worst since 1981 when John Jacobs captained the first Europe-USA clash to be held in Europe (before 1979 the competition was Britain vs USA), with the Europeans spanked 18½–9½.
