Dad paralysed in horror roof fall hopes to take first steps in robotic suit



A dad told he would never walk again after a horrific fall through a skatepark ceiling is hoping to take his first steps - in a robotic suit.
Robert Godfrey, 51, founder of Rampworx skatepark, in Bootle, plummeted from the roof the building, breaking his spine and causing swelling on the brain.
The accident happened in 2012 and Robert, from Wallasey, was told by doctors at the time he would be wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life.
He has since left hospital and moved to a wheelchair-accessible home in West Derby.
