Dad-of-seven critically ill in Spain after sea rescue during his first ever holiday abroad
 

A dad-of-seven is critically ill in hospital after he was rescued from the sea on his first ever holiday abroad.
Mike Knight, from Kersal, Salford, suffered a cardiac arrest after he got into difficulties whilst swimming off the coast of Magaluf on the Spanish island of Majorca.
He was spotted shouting and waiving his arms for help before lifeguards swam out to rescue him.
His family have revealed that he suffered a cardiac arrest as he was being helped to shore and was resuscitated over several minutes on the beach.
“Whatever happens, he will never be the same again”, they added.
