Cyclist is seriously hurt after being struck by a van near Durham
 

A 63-year-old cyclist was seriously hurt after he collided with a van near Durham in the early hours.
The crash happened at 2.55am on Thursday on the northbound carriageway of the A167, around 200m north of the Sniperley park and ride roundabout.
The mountain bike was struck from behind by a white Ford Transit van as both vehicles were travelling north.
