Customers jump for cover after car drives through petrol station shop in Coatbridge
 

CUSTOMERS were forced to jump for cover when a car drove through a petrol station shop yesterday.
Drivers filling up at Hursts Esso petrol garage on Coatbank street, in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire had a lucky escape after a silver Ford Fiesta smashed through the station's window and doors just before 1pm on Thursday.
The driver, thought to be a woman in her late 50s, had returned to her car after paying for fuel when the incident happened.
Drivers, customers and staff standing inside the people station's Subway counter were forced to jump to safety to avoid the car as it approached.
