Cuban Rare Groove



Record collecting is driven by a desire to find that exclusive mix or special “holy grail” track and rare groove arose from the London dance scene of the 1980s, where the term was used to describe obscure,hard-to-find soul, funk or jazz music from the US.
Now it applies to many genres and this Rough Guide album digs deeper than some of the previous forays into Cuban-themed compilations. It features rarities made outside of the island, post the triumph of therevolution, by a diaspora of Cuban and non-Cuban musicians from the 1970s until today.
