Criminal mastermind George Moon gets extra jail time after annoying judge
 

A criminal mastermind who orchestrated a cocaine smuggling ring from his cell has been handed extra time behind bars - for wasting judges’ time.
George Moon, 69, who has been a free man for just 12 weeks in the past 18 years, was told his bid to clear his name was “wholly without merit”.
And the angry judge at the Court of Appeal tacked an extra 28 days onto his sentence after ruling that his appeal should never have been brought.
Moon, from Widnes , was caged for 18 years at Liverpool Crown Court in August 2009.
