'Creepy' clown sighting in Glasgow revealed to be a hoax

A FACEBOOK poster has admitted that a "creepy" clown spotted in Glasgow was a hoax.
The craze, which has terrified schoolchildren and college students in America, appeared to have made its way to Scotland when a picture emerged of a clown underneath a bridge in the city.
The picture was posted on Facebook page Killer Clowns in and around Glasgow and was claimed to have been taken at the "M9 cut off bridge at Riddrie and Alexander Parade".
The location is thought to reference the M8/M80 junction in Glasgow's east end as the M9 does not pass through the city.
