Cowboy builder who left customers with ‘dangerous, shoddy work’ is jailed
 

A rogue builder who left his customers out of pocket and living in unsafe conditions has been jailed for 22 months.
Cardiff Crown Court heard from multiple victims of Ian Cottle and his company ACE Plastering and Building Services Limited.
Judge Neil Bidder QC said the 52-year-old made more than £28,000 from his ‘completely shoddy work’, some of which was ‘positively dangerous’, in the span of just 14 months from July 2015 to August 2016.
The judge disqualified him from being a company director for five years and said: ‘All you wanted was the consumers’ cash.’
