Couple sleep in shop after swords and knives stolen in Barrow break-in



Discount Corner, in Dalton Road, was broken into sometime during the early hours of Sunday morning. The goods stolen included decorative samurai swords and knives, which are blunt-edged, and smoking implements such as e cigarettes.
Owners Alan and Linda Pye said items valued at around £800 were stolen after someone threw a brick through the shop window.
The couple have now had a new alarm system fitted, improved CCTV is in place inside and outside the shop and the window is being replaced, all costing the Pyes more than £1,000.
