Council set to consider how to deal with Durham Cricket Club's £3.8m debt
 

Durham Cricket Club’s £3.785m debt to the county council will be discussed by politicians next week as the authority looks to sort a financial arrangement.
This comes as the club is being relegated and stripped of its right to host test matches in return for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) writing off the £2m Durham owes the board.
The side will also start next season’s County Championship with a 48-point penalty.
