Council hope case will act as warning to others as woman is fined for dumping rubbish in back alley
 

A woman must pay back almost £300 for leaving a bag of rubbish in an alley near her home.
Stacey Hopper, 26, probably didn’t expect to have to pay for the rubbish she was taking out but after dumping two full bags outside in an alley, that’s exactly what happened.
Hopper was charged with dumping litter in the alley on Queen Street and sentenced in her absence at Teesside Magistrates’ Court .
Janine Morgan, prosecuting said that Redcar and Cleveland Council was told of a resident putting black bags in an alley way that all contained household waste on March 6.
