Council chiefs block cut in their own pay ... saying councillors shouldn't decide how much they pay themselves



Council chiefs have been told to stop “crying crocodile tears” over cuts to services after they voted against taking a pay cut,
Wrexham councillors met last night to discuss the proposed but, be decided against making the saving recommended by their own officers.
Cllr Marc Jones, who voted for the cut, said the leadership was in no position to bemoan government cuts if it wasn’t willing to share some of the pain.
