Conjoined twins whose parents were too poor to pay for surgery to separate them celebrate their 14th birthday



Twin sisters conjoined at the head who were abandoned at birth have celebrated their 14th birthdays. 
Veena and Vani have been raised by hospital staff since 2004 after their parents couldn't afford to look after them.
They have spent the majority of their life in one room, which has only one window for them to look out of and see the outside world. 
Their parents, from Hyderabad, India, abandoned them after an initial operation to seperate the pair. 
However, they promised to take them back if the whole process by surgeons gets completed.
