Compassion and reason can prevail over people's xenophobia of refugees
 

Ever intrigued by the intricacy of webs, I was captivated by a recent radio programme which revealed further wonders about spiders.
They rely on the wind to carry spun filaments across wide intervals, even open water. Some spiders use this technique to migrate; they pick a spot where there’s nothing downwind for the silk to stick to, let go of whatever they were standing on and let the wind carry them off.
