Community shaken after 'knifeman' in street forces school into lockdown



"DISGUSTED" Nunsthorpe parents are part of a community left shaken after a man allegedly carrying a knife in the street forced a nearby local primary school into lockdown.
A 35-year-old man was arrested by police following reports of a man in the area with a knife at around 8.49am yesterday morning.
According to an eyewitness, a man allegedly took to the street in Pinewood Crescent, just yards from the school, after he apparently became upset at his window getting smashed earlier on in the day.
