‘Columbus of the 21st century’ discovers world’s DEEPEST underwater cave in Czech Republic
 

A Polish explorer has made a breakthrough discovery near the eastern Czech town of Hranice. 
Krzysztof Starnawski led a team to the site of the world’s deepest cave. 
The 48-year-old said he feels like ‘Columbus of the 21st century’ after probing into the depths of the site. 
He made the incredible find when he was scuba diving at a depth of more than 650 feet. 
A narrow slot opened the way to another cavern and Starnawski managed to squeeze through it. 
He could only reach a depth of 870 feet below the water before he had to return to spend more than six hours in a decompression chamber. ... read more
