Cod fish have their own regional accents, scientists claim.
Yes, the fish that has been landed and sold on our docks for decades, might actually speak with a Grimsby accent!
Scientists at Exeter University came to the conclusion after investigating whether fish in British waters have regional dialects.
Steve Simpson, Associate Professor in Marine Biology and Global Change at the university, says cod accents could affect the way they reproduce.
