Closed A590 lane to reopen after almost a year but delays expected during three weeks of roadworks



The inside lane of the eastbound dual carriageway at Arrad Foot was closed by Highways England bosses last November following an incident in the September. Rock debris from the wooded embankment alongside the carriageway rolled into the inside lane.

Rock fall netting is to go up as part of work to repair the rock face on the A590 at Arrad Foot. Crews will also remove loose stones and clear vegetation.
The Highways England work starts on Monday October 10 and is expected to take three weeks.
