Cllr Kerri Harold threatens to chain herself to railings in East Riding school funding battle



A leading councillor has threatened to chain herself to railings in the battle to win fairer funding for the East Riding's cash-starved schools.
Councillor Kerri Harold vowed to stand up for the region's cash-strapped schools after a headteacher urged the council to fight their corner.
Schools in the East Riding are the worst-funded in the country, with many – including nine of the East Riding's 11 maintained secondaries – set to plunge into the red in 2017/18.
