Cleaner air plans for Derby could hit everyone in the pocket, warns council leader
 

A plan for cleaner air in Derby could hit bus, taxi and lorry firms in the pocket as well as making goods more expensive for everyone, warns council leader Ranjit Banwait.
His fears were raised in a letter to the Government, which has identified Derby as one of five cities where it wants new "clean air zones" created in a bid to cut polluting emissions.
Details of where exactly in Derby the zone would be have not yet been worked out, although the Government says it would be the "city centre".
