Clayton Co-op store cordoned off by police after man tried to break in with terrified staff inside

POLICE have cordoned off a Co-op store this morning after a man attempted to smash his way into the shop.
Terrified staff called the police after the man started kicking at the door of the Co-op, in Clayton Road, Clayton, at 6.20am today.
The shop was closed at the time of the incident. It remains closed this morning to allow for the entrance to be repaired.
Now Staffordshire Police are hunting for a man wearing light-coloured trousers and a blue hoodie with a white trim.
