Demand for T-shirts was dampened by cooler temperatures in May to July, while warmer weather in September delayed sales of autumn ranges such as coats. Same-store turnover fell 8.6 per cent as first-half revenue dipped £3.9million to £93.1million. Underlying pre-tax profit dropped by 61.6 per cent to £2.5million. Chief executive Helen Connolly said customers had noted too many product repeats, but added: “Work has already begun to modernise and simplify our operations. “I remain confident the business will resume growth during the 2018 financial year"
