CITY DIARY: Siemens UK boss Juergen Maier raises concerns at the Tory Conference 



Siemens UK boss Juergen Maier, whose firm employs 13,000 British workers, has been hobnobbing in Birmingham at the Tory conference. 
He was fawningly praised by turgid business minister Greg Burns, who even pointed him out in the auditorium. 
Peacockish Herr Maier, 42 (he's a sucker for colourful shirts and rakish pocket squares) had welcomed Burns's appointment in July tweeting blokeishly: 'Looking forward to getting stuck in.'
